Our class did many fun things this week of second grade! We started working with words during Daily 5! We talked about short vowel words. We finished doing Wonder Words for CARES and learned what it takes to be an Eagle that CARES. We talked about U.S. Currency in Math. We made surprises to welcome our parents to Curriculum Night too! We love being in second grade!

Our class did many things this week! We made our own ABC chart with bugs! Mrs. Svore came and drew butterflies with us. We met our own caterpillars and made them a home to become a butterfly in! For Daily 5 we made Word Work folders so we can work on spelling and writing. We kept reading James and the Giant Peach too! These are the many awesome things we did this week!

We did so many things our first few days of second grade! Our class sang happy birthday to Brownie (our class dog) and learned when everyone celebrates their birthdays. We learned about "good fit" books and filled up our Daily 5 bins. We did our first science experiment on shadows and the movement of the sun. We also did some writing about our hopes and dreams. We hope the rest of our school year is just as great as these first few days!!!
