Tons of things happened in our room this week. On Thursday we had no school because of Veteran's Day. In science, we learned about what happens when we change a wetland ecosystem by adding or taking away organisms. Also, our science specialist came and talked to us about germs. In math, we talked about weight and learned how to weigh things in ounces and pounds. We started a new Ladybug CAFE strategy to use when reading too! We loved learning this week!!!

We liked doing many thing this week in grade two! We learned about the blue heron and drew it. In the computer lab, we made a graph of our favorite wetland organisms. We did WACKY Wednesday Writing and wrote a paragraph about the wetlands together. Our school went to a Veteran's Day Assembly and heard songs about America. Mrs. S came to teach us art and we made lily pads from clay. We had a great and awesome week!

We were very busy in Mrs. F's class the last week of October! We all made our own bug costume to wear at our BUG PARTY!!! At our party we wore our costumes, read our bug rhyme, made bug origami, and watched Bug's Life. We even had popcorn with a pretend bug in it! In science, we learned about a great bug eater, the frog. The day after Halloween, we learned all about Body Systems in all of the second grade classrooms. Mrs. F read us a story called Parts about what happens when these systems in our body fall apart. We had a very buggy and spooky week!
