Room 18 spent the week in second grade doing many fun things. Everybody traded valentines with each other. We published our paragraph on the groundhog. Our class studied Matisse in art. When we worked hard in our classroom and in music we earned ten pom pom points. Our pig is very colorful and almost FULL! The week after break we start gymnastics in P.E. These are some of the awesome things we did!

Our class did tons of interesting things this week. We started doing third grade math! We worked on multiplication and division. Our class wrote a groundhog paragraph and started to check it. This week we started a new listen to reading called Tumblebooks. Also, we did silent letters in spelling. Each of us added to a class compliment chain too! That's what we did this week. It was lots of fun!

We were up to lots of cool things in Mrs. F's room this week. We made a bunch of awesome lighting bolts for our unit on weather. Everybody made BIG woven hearts for Valentine's Day. We learned about two animals people use to predict the weather: the Canada Goose & Groundhog. On the first day of February, we made prognostications about the weather by looking at our "What's it like outside?" Mrs. S came and showed us how to draw the groundhog. Our class finished the Stanford too! That's what was going on in our room this week.
